The Liv Crochet Mesh Top Pattern

Say hello to The Liv, my favourite airy little mesh tank. It has a scooped neckline, wide straps and a sweet frilly shell border running along every edge. I made mine in crisp white and honestly, I haven't stopped wearing it since. It's perfect thrown over a bikini, layered on a bralette, or worn on its own when you're feeling bold.

The best part? This pattern is made to measure. Instead of squeezing yourself into a standard size, you build the top against your own body as you go. That means it fits you exactly, whatever your shape. No gauge swatches, no size charts, no guessing.

The whole top is worked in a simple, meditative 'V' stitch that you'll have memorised after a few rows. It's the kind of project you can do on the sofa with a cup of tea and a good series on. You'll make a front and back panel, join them with cute little side slits at the hem, place the straps wherever they feel best on you, and finish everything off with a playful scalloped frill.

If you can chain, double crochet and half double crochet, you can absolutely make this. I've included step by step photos and my own hand drawn stitch diagrams so you're never left guessing.

You'll need:
Three 50 g balls of Sandnes Garn Tynn Line (or a similar fine cotton or linen blend), a 1.5 to 2 mm hook, and a few stitch markers.

I really hope you love making this one as much as I loved designing it. Once you've finished your first, I have a feeling you'll be planning the next colour before you've even woven in the ends.
